Pentagon Sideboard

The focal point of this cabinet is a set of sliding doors covered in an intricate pattern of pentagonal wood tiles. Black resin inlay fills the spaces between the tiles to create a strong graphic statement, amplified by the minimalist all-black case. A solid-colour lacquer accent is used on the adjustable shelves and inside cabinet back.

The lead image here shows a Pentagon sideboard with walnut veneer doors, a blackened oak case, and a dark red accent colour on the interior. This example is 72” long, 20” deep, and 36” long.

The Pentagon sideboard has been built several times and in a range of configurations: lengths from 60” to 72”, two or three doors, and in a variety of door materials and interior colours.
