Flux Screen

This custom four-panel folding screen’s design is composed of 48 identical square tiles with white-lacquered grooves cut into their oak surfaces. These are known as ‘Truchet’ tiles, meaning the patterns line up no matter how the tiles are oriented. This arrangement — one of over 79 billion billion billion possibilities — was chosen for the turbulent flow created across the entire screen.

White oak and white oak veneer. Custom brass hinge hardware links the panels and allows them to fold flat against each other.
